While I was travelling alone in Madurai (Mark had earlier run out of money and returned to Sai Baba's ashram where it's about 50 cents for a night's stay), I met two nice women from Spain and we agreed to share a taxi to the neighboring state of Kerala. On the way, we stopped at this nature preserve called Periyar, where supposedly you can see tigers from a ferry boat tour on the river. We didn't see any tigers - mostly monkeys, deer and elephants. There are no animals in this photo.
